About the Retatrutide 30 mg vial

Retatrutide (sold here as GLP-3RT 30 mg) is a triple-receptor agonist studied in metabolic research for its activity at GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors. It comes as a 30 mg lyophilized vial, which is a much higher strength than most single peptides.

That higher strength is why the amount is usually expressed in milligrams, not micrograms. With 3 mL of bacteriostatic water the vial is 10 mg/mL, so each unit on a U-100 syringe holds exactly 0.1 mg. That is the simplest mix to work with for this compound. For laboratory research use only.

How the math works

Every reconstitution calculator uses the same three steps. Here they are in plain numbers, so you can check any result by hand.

STEP 1

Find the strength

mg in vial ÷ mL of water = mg/mL

30 mg + 3 mL of bacteriostatic water = 10 mg/mL. The water changes the strength, not the amount of peptide.

STEP 2

Find the volume

amount you want ÷ strength = mL

For 2 mg: 2 ÷ 10 = 0.2 mL.

STEP 3

Convert to units

mL × 100 = units (U-100)

0.2 mL × 100 = 20 units. On a U-100 syringe, 1 unit is always 0.01 mL, whatever the barrel size.

Retatrutide 30 mg: water vs. strength

Same vial, different amounts of water. More water spreads the same peptide across more liquid, so each mark holds less and draws get bigger.

Questions people ask

How much bacteriostatic water should I add to Retatrutide 30 mg?

There is no single correct amount: water changes the strength, not how much peptide is in the vial. For example, with 2 mL the vial is 15 mg/mL and every 10 units holds 1.5 mg; with 3 mL the vial is 10 mg/mL and every 10 units holds 1 mg. More water makes each draw larger and easier to measure. A common choice for this vial is 3 mL.

How many units is 2 mg of Retatrutide?

With 3 mL of water in the 30 mg vial, 2 mg is 20 units (0.2 mL) on a U-100 syringe. A different amount of water gives a different answer, so enter your own numbers in the calculator above.

How many draws are in a Retatrutide 30 mg vial?

At 2 mg per draw there are 15 draws (30 mg ÷ 2 mg). The water amount does not change this number, only the size of each draw.

How long does reconstituted Retatrutide last?

Plan on about one week in the fridge (2–8°C) as a conservative standard. For longer, split the solution into single-use portions and freeze them, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Keep the unmixed powder cold, dry and dark.

What is the difference between mcg, mg, mL and units?

mcg and mg measure how much peptide you have (1 mg = 1,000 mcg). mL measures liquid. Units are just the markings on an insulin-style syringe: on a U-100 syringe, 1 unit = 0.01 mL, so 100 units = 1 mL.

Is a 0.3 mL (30-unit) syringe a different scale from a 1 mL syringe?

No. 0.3 mL, 0.5 mL and 1 mL insulin syringes are all U-100: 1 unit is always 0.01 mL. Only the barrel size changes. Smaller barrels have finer markings, which makes small draws easier to read.
