About This Compound

What Is Epithalon?

Epithalon (also spelled Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide consisting of four amino acids: Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. It is the synthetic analog of Epithalamin, a polypeptide extract of the pineal gland originally studied by Russian gerontologist Vladimir Khavinson. The synthetic version has been used in preclinical longevity research since the 1980s.

In preclinical research, Epithalon is studied for its ability to stimulate telomerase activity, regulate melatonin production through the pineal gland, and modulate gene expression patterns associated with cellular aging. It is one of the most extensively studied peptides in Russian longevity research literature.

What Sets Us Apart

We Verify Before We Ship.

CoreVionRX doesn’t manufacture peptides. What we do — rigorously — is verify every batch before it reaches our catalog.

≥98%
Purity by Reversed-Phase HPLC
HPLC separates the compound from any impurities and measures the exact purity percentage. The chromatogram is documented on your COA — not a number we made up.
MS/MS
Mass Spectrometry Identity Check
Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry verifies the molecular weight matches the compound specification. This confirms you’re getting the actual compound — not a substitute or mis-labeled batch.
Lot #
Lot-Specific Certificate of Analysis
Your COA is tied to your specific production lot — not a generic document. This is not standard practice in this market. We made it one anyway.
100%
Documented Before Listing
No compound reaches our catalog without clearing our verification process first. If documentation isn’t available for a batch, that batch doesn’t ship.

Preclinical Research

What Researchers Study Epithalon For

All published research is preclinical — cell cultures and animal models. No human clinical trial data exists for Epithalon. Here’s where the science currently stands.

Telomerase Activation Research
Epithalon is studied for its ability to stimulate telomerase expression and activity in human somatic cells in vitro. Researchers investigate whether this leads to telomere length maintenance — a key area in cellular aging research.

Khavinson VK. et al. (2003) Bull Exp Biol Med 135(6):590-2

Circadian & Pineal Research
As a synthetic analog of a pineal gland peptide, Epithalon is investigated for its effects on melatonin production, circadian rhythm regulation, and pineal gland function in aging rodent models.

Anisimov VN. et al. (2006) Ann N Y Acad Sci 1057:134-47

Cellular Aging Studies
Research examines Epithalon’s effects on age-related gene expression patterns, oxidative stress markers, and mortality in animal models. Russian longitudinal studies in rodents are the primary source of published data.

Why CoreVionRX

Documentation Is the Product.

Most peptide vendors claim purity. We document it. Every compound ships with independent lab verification — not because regulations require it, but because you deserve to know exactly what you’re working with.

Independent HPLC Testing
Every batch runs through reversed-phase HPLC before we list it. The chromatogram appears on your COA. Verify the peak profile yourself.
Lot-Specific Documentation
Your COA is tied to your production lot — not a template document used across all orders. “COA available upon request” is not how we operate.
Transparent About What We Are
We source and verify. We are not a synthesis lab. That honesty is deliberate — it’s the only way to build a brand worth buying from twice.
Lyophilized for Stability
Ships as lyophilized powder — stable at −20°C for 24+ months. Full integrity maintained until you’re ready to reconstitute.
Common Questions

Straight Answers.

What is Epithalon and where does it come from?

Epithalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) is a synthetic tetrapeptide — the synthetic version of Epithalamin, a natural polypeptide extracted from the pineal gland. Developed by Russian researcher Vladimir Khavinson, it has been studied in preclinical models for telomerase activation and cellular aging since the 1980s.
What research areas use Epithalon?

Epithalon research focuses on telomerase activation in somatic cells, melatonin regulation via pineal gland pathways, circadian rhythm modulation, and cellular aging markers in rodent models. All published research is preclinical.
How does Epithalon relate to telomeres?

Preclinical in vitro studies have examined Epithalon’s ability to stimulate telomerase — the enzyme responsible for maintaining telomere length. Telomeres shorten with each cell division; their length is a key biomarker in cellular aging research.
How do I reconstitute Epithalon?

Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water. The tetrapeptide dissolves readily. Typical research concentrations: 1–5mg/mL. Use our reconstitution calculator for exact volumes based on your target concentration.
How should Epithalon be stored?

Store lyophilized at −20°C, protected from light and moisture. Stable for 24+ months. After reconstitution, store at 2–8°C. Epithalon is a small, stable tetrapeptide but freeze-thaw cycling should still be minimized.
