Thymosin Alpha-1 (TA-1) — 28-amino-acid thymic peptide studied for T-cell maturation, dendritic cell activation, and immune signaling pathways in preclinical models. 10mg lyophilized, HPLC + mass spec verified.
Thymosin Alpha-1 (TA-1) is a 28-amino-acid peptide naturally secreted by the thymus gland. It was first isolated by Allan Goldstein in 1977 as the active component of Thymosin Fraction 5 — a thymic extract studied for immune modulation. A synthetic version (Thymalfasin) has received pharmaceutical approval in some countries for hepatitis B and C treatment.
In preclinical research, Thymosin Alpha-1 is studied for its effects on T-lymphocyte maturation, dendritic cell activation, NK cell function, and regulatory T-cell modulation. It is one of the most extensively studied thymic peptides in immune system research.
